©AfreePress-(Lomé, November 13, 2020)- The Head of State, Faure Gnassingbé has spoken out following the death of the former Ghanaian President, Jerry John Rawlings, Thursday November 12, 2020.
On his Twitter account, the President of the Republic, paid a heartfelf tribute to the Ghanaian politician. « Jerry John Rawlings was a great patriot and a man of action, who made a remarkable contribution to the building of democracy in Ghana, » he said.
« I salute his memory and express my sincere condolences to the family of the illustrious deceased, to HE Mr. Nana AKUFO-ADDO, and to the brotherly people of Ghana whose mourning we share, » continued the Togolese President.
It should be noted that Jerry John Rawlings, President of the Republic of Ghana (1981 to 2001) passed away onThursday, November 12, 2020 aged 73.
