This high-level diplomatic event marks a decisive milestone in international efforts to restore lasting stability in the Great Lakes region, which has long been plagued by recurrent tensions. The presence of President Faure Gnassingbé underscores Togo’s expanding role in promoting dialogue, mediation, and collective security across the African continent.
